Wednesday, November 22-Friday, November 24: School CLOSED for Thanksgiving Break. Classes resume Monday, November 27th..
We are excited to share with everyone that our Overfield Family Partnership (OFP) meeting for November, “Storytelling at Overfield” will take place on Thursday, November 16th, at 6:30pm in The Gathering Place.
Our discussion of the evening will be about our visiting artist (Omopé Carter Daboiku aka Mama O), looking at storytelling within our school, and what we can do to incorporate it in our homes.
Parents and caregivers, please join us at this wonderful event to make connections and build friendships, while we spend time immersing ourselves in this core part of the children’s day.
The OFP is excited to share that we will be able to offer child care at our meeting, by RSVP only. We have to limit our child care group to the first 16 children who are ages 3 and up and potty trained. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee availability for drop-ins.
Please email FamilyPartnership@overfield.org names and ages of the children you will be bringing to reserve your spot no later than Tuesday (11/14) at 12pm.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
We welcome you to our first Parent-Teacher Conferences for this school year! Our teachers are thrilled to be able to meet with you, and to share their observations of your child during your scheduled conference time.
These Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for this evening, Monday, November 6 and all day tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7.
There will be NO OVERFIELD CLASSES on November 7th as parents meet with teachers. If you need to make any changes or can’t make your conference time, please email the office at office@overfield.org or by phone at 339-5111.
This Parent-Teacher Conference time is for adults only. It is a time allotted for us to discuss your child’s progress, and since it is not appropriate to discuss a child in his/her presence unless you are talking to that child, please make sure you make other child care arrangements for your child during this meeting. Children may not be unattended in the building during these conferences, as this poses a safety concern.
Each conference will be 30 minutes in length, and it is important we stay on schedule. We will discuss our observations about your child and any questions or thoughts you have for us. If you feel more time is needed, we can immediately schedule another conference for another date.
We are looking forward to meeting with you all, and discussing all of the wonderful children we are fortunate to spend time with at Overfield!
Overfield Spirit Wear is now available! Order forms will be going home with children this week. Turn in your order form and payment to the office by November 20th; payment can be made by check or Venmo. Samples are available in the office for sizing and material–stop by anytime from 8 am until 4 pm to take a look!
