What a wonderful time we had with Omope Carter Daboiku–affectionately known as Mama O–for the first day of her two week residency! Many thanks to the Ohio Arts Council and Muse Machine for helping to provide this opportunity, where the children are immersing themselves in the world of storytelling. We are excited to continue to use this medium to explore cultural history and family stories, all through the language of food and gardening!
Parent-Teacher Conferences: November 6-7, 2023
It is hard to believe, but Parent-Teacher Conferences are fast approaching! Our teachers have already been preparing to meet with you by diligently observing each child, and will be creating photo files and portfolio pages that will be used to support discussion with you during your scheduled conference time.
These Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the evening of Monday, November 6 and all day Tuesday, November 7.
There will be NO OVERFIELD CLASSES on November 7th as parents meet with teachers. You will be receiving an electronic link via email, where you can reserve your meeting time with one of your child’s teachers.
This Parent-Teacher Conference time is for adults only. It is a time allotted for us to discuss your child’s progress, and since it is not appropriate to discuss a child in his/her presence unless you are talking to that child, please make sure you make other child care arrangements for your child during this meeting. Children may not be unattended in the building during these conferences, as this poses a safety concern.
Each conference will be 30 minutes in length, and it is important we stay on schedule. We will discuss our observations about your child and any questions or thoughts you have for us. If you feel more time is needed, we can immediately schedule another conference for another date.
We are looking forward to meeting with you all, and discussing all of the wonderful children we are fortunate to spend time with at Overfield!
